Mood Board

Below is both our mood board and how our idea has actually formed over the past few months.

Similarities

Below is the music video to Rihanna's song 'What Now'. This video is very relevant for our group as it shows a female protagonist portrayed with a mental illness. This video shows a women with  psychological problem, or so it is insinuated, which is exactly like our music video. The mise-en-scene is very similar to ours to with a white background. We have gotten some inspiration from this video, it has helped us out with some shots to recreate also. Here it is:

Solo Vlog

So this is my first individual vlog so I may have missed some information. It is just giving you an update on where we are currently at and what we have left to film. Also adding that when i say refer to hannah as being 'normal' I mean the norm of how people act within society, conforming to rules and living a healthy lifestyle t=rather than having a psychological issue which she has in our music video

Editing Footage

As  you know we have been out filming already in order to reach deadlines. We made a rough story board of some shots we need to film also giving us an outline to how we are expecting our film to look and give us an idea of what we need to film. As one of our locations was to film in an open field we found it easy to film. We then came to school and started to edit the footage to suit parts in the song. As our song is very drum and base we need to get certain shots right on the beat, which is very tricky for s to get precise. We have now mastered this though and are inserting clips frequently. We decided to insert the song over black footage which we can replace with our final footage so we do not need to wait until we have all the footage to create our final product. This solution is much easier because we can start editing the footage until we get the rest. On this note we are filming in the final locations today. Below are some images of us editing:

Mood Board

As stated in an earlier post we have indeed once again changed ideas. Along with the idea change we created another mood board giving ideas to what our music video will look like, moreover helping inspire us in the use of cinematography.

Artist Research

         RUDIMENTAL:
Rudimental are are an English electronic music quartet who are known for there drum and base music. Rudimental are signed to 'Asylum Records' and the independent label 'Black Butter'. Here is some information on the record companies:

• Asylum Records - Asylum records is an american label founded by David Geffen and Elliott Roberts in 1971. The label was founded specifically to provide a record contract for Jackson Browne. The label was then taken over by 'Warner Communications' later merging with Elektra records to become Elektra/Asylum records. The record company today primarily signs hip-hop artists along with rock and alternative metal. The company is owned by Warner Music group and distributed through Warner Bros Records. Furthermore the label received its fist number one with Rudimentals track: Feel The Love in 2012.

• Black Butter - There is not much information to 'Black Butter Records'. What I have managed to fin out is that Black Butter Records is a multi-award winning company that helped to launch artists much like Rudimental. 

With a lot of advertisement and distribution techniques from their record labels, Rudimental released there debut album in 2013, which peaked at number 1 in the charts. Along with this releasing several number 1 singles including 'Right Here' 'Waiting All Night' and 'Feel The Love'.  With Rudimental gaining a huge status they appeal to a large fan group, touring europe and playing at many festivals where they can play for there fans.

Permission

Here is the new email sent to 'Asylum Records' asking permission to use the song 'Right Here' ft foxes for our A2 Media  coursework. It outlines the fact that it will not be sold on and is being used solely for educational purposes, moreover stating any copyright issues.

NEW IDEA.........

So here is the where we are currently are at. We have completely changed our whole idea. We have anew song 'Rudimental ft Foxes - Right Here'. After choosing the song we created a new idea of Hannah, being the protagonist in where she has a psychological problems which is implied through her actions we see in clips. He have already began filming, getting clips for the new songs which are looking great (not to be biased). Collectively we did not like the old idea and are now very much enjoying this idea. We have thought of two main location, one being in a field (stereotypical but perfect for our shot types) where we have got all the shots for, which involved me already climbing up a tree to get a specific shot. The other location is in a white room where we can write on the walls. We are painting Leanne's room and all that will be in there is a bed so it will look very secluded.
